Speaking in the Seanad on Pope Benedict's shock resignation

The announcement by Pope Benedict that he intends to stand down at the end of this month took everyone by surprise. His successor will have the very difficult task of steering the Catholic Church through very challenging times. I also commented on the upsurge in juvenile crime in recent times.
