Referendum on Civil Marriage Equality Set for Spring 2015

As Labour Seanad Spokesperson on Equality, I welcome the announcement by An Taoiseach Enda Kenny that a referendum on civil marriage equality will be held in Spring 2015.

I am delighted that the people of the country will have the opportunity to have their say on the issue of marriage equality. As a member of the Constitutional Convention I welcomed the topic of Marriage Equality as a key issue for discussion. I look forward to the campaign ahead.
