€300,000 Seed Fund for digital sector launched at DKIT
The Regional Development Centre at DKIT has launched a brand new seed fund worth €300,000 aimed at stimulating the growth of the digital content sector across the border counties.
The Honeypot seed fund is part of Honeycomb-Creative Works, a €4.2million skills and business development programme funded by the EU's INTERREG IVA Programme, managed by the Special EU programmes Body and delivered by the Regional Development Centre, in conjunction with the University of Ulster and Creative Skillset.
Honeypot is targeted at digital content creators across the six border counties of the Republic of Ireland, parts of Northern Ireland and the western seaboard of Scotland.
The seed fund is available to companies and individuals involved int eh development of digital content through animation, film and broadcasting, computer gaming, interactive media and music technologies.
Kevin Fearon, Honeypot Project Manager at the Regional Development centre launched the programme this week and is encouraging digital content creators to get in touch for more information.
