DkIT Hear Our Voices Concert Shining Example of Inclusiveness

I was delighted to MC the Hear Our Voices concert in the MacAnna Theatre DkIT on Wednesday, 2nd December.  The concert was a collaboration between DkIT students, Coláiste Ris and Rehabcare Carroll Village participants.

I was very impressed with the talent of everyone involved in the Hear Our Voices concert.  It was obvious that a huge amount of time and attention went into making the evening such a success.

Collaborative events such as this present an excellent opportunity to promote inclusiveness in our local community and I applaud DkIT for taking initiative in this area.   It was heartwarming to see the friendships formed between the groups.

I hope this is the first of many local concerts and events with this form of collaboration as it was incredible to see the equality and inclusiveness presented on stage Wednesday evening.

I was truly honoured to be a part of the concert and would like to commend everyone involved specifically Sandy Sneddin,  Daithí Kearney and Adèle Commins for organising the type of event to which all other events should aspire.

Congratulations to the Hear Our Voices participants and organisers on an outstanding and inspirational event.
