The first water bills for up to 1.5 million households will not land in homes until at least January 26 next.
And households will be given until November 30 next to register with Irish Water and claim their free water allowances.
The
water regulator has agreed to extend the registration date following
concerns that people have not been given enough time to send their
details to Irish Water.
In
a decision, the Commission for Energy Regulation has extended the
registration deadline from October 31 to November 30, following a
request from the beleaguered semi-state utility company.
