I was honoured to present awards to athletes at the recent Special Olympics Awards Evening in the Glenroyal Hotel Maynooth. Over 300 athletes competing in Bocce, Basketball, Football and Bowling received awards. I would like to commend the athletes on this great achievement as well as parents, supporters and volunteers for their commitment and support for Special Olympics Ireland.
