Minister Kathleen Lynch with Cormac Woods at NLN Dundalk
I was delighted to welcome Minister Kathleen Lynch, Minister for Disability to visit Maria Goretti Respite Centre Lordship, Rehabcare Quayside, National Learning Network Ramparts and St John of god's Venegas Centre Dundalk this week.
I was delighted to invite Minister Lynch to visit Dundalk and meet with some of the local disability services in the area. During the visit, service providers had the opportunity to to showcase their excellent local work and discuss their views and work with the Minister. The Minister also had the opportunity to meet with the people who use the services and was very impressed with each of the services she visited.
It was an excellent opportunity for the Minister to meet and engage with the different disability services in our area. In each of the places she visited I was particularly keen to highlight the excellent work that is ongoing but also to show the vital importance of these services to the users and their families.
